MisterHouse is a perl program that has a web interface and allows control and feedback from any browser. It works on a local 'intranet' or on the internet. This can be used for displaying time, events, voice based home control functions etc. This program can be programmed to perform actions based on voice input, time of day, a particular file data, serial port data, and socket data etc. It has the capability of reading/writing any data from any serial attached device and read or write internet mail. It can also read http and ftp files; Outlook calendars for event reminders and VCR programming, and much more.
